So classic and elegant is this vintage ladies suit featuring a rich brown tweed with black velvet trim by Vera Maxwell, circa early 1960s.
The well constructed two-piece suit consists of a jacket and skirt, comprised of a knobby wool and silk blend fabric in a rich coffee brown color with black accents and dotted with black textured flecks.
The jacket has a notched black velvet collar with velvet covered buttons, two waist pockets with flaps, and is fully lined within.
The pencil line skirt is partially lined at the rear, and has a hidden metal side zipper with kick pleat in back.
Both jacket and skirt have red, green, and white labels for “Vera Maxwell Original”.
Very good condition – clean, vibrant, and intact.
